What is a hydrophilic nonwoven? Hydrophilic nonwovens are the opposite of hydrophobic nonwovens. Hydrophilic nonwovens are produced by adding a hydrophilic agent to the nonwoven production process or by adding a hydrophilic agent to the fiber production process, which then produces the legendary hydrophilic nonwovens.
Spunbond hydrophilic base layer nonwoven is made of ordinary polypropylene spunbond nonwoven fabric with hydrophilic treatment, which has good hydrophilicity and permeability;
It is an environmentally friendly textile that is breathable, lightweight and highly absorbent; it is mainly used in hygiene products such as baby diapers, incontinence adult diaper and sanitary napkin for quick penetration and to keep you dry and comfortable. It can be said that it is very common in our life!
This is because the fibres or nonwovens in hydrophilic nonwovens are polymers with few or no hydrophilic groups to achieve the hydrophilic properties required for nonwoven applications. Therefore, hydrophilic agents are added to increase their hydrophilic groups.
The hydrophilic agents in hydrophilic nonwovens rapidly reduce surface tension. Most of them are long-chain organic compounds with hydrophilic and lipophilic groups.
1. Surfactant type: surfactant and non-ionic surfactant.
2. Nonionic surfactants: polysorbate (Tween Tween)-20.-40.60.80. dehydrate sorbitan monolaurate (Span Span)-20.40.60.80. polyoxyethylene lauryl ether (seller Myrj)-45.52.30.35. emulsifiers OP (nonalkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether condensate).
3. Anionic surfactants: soft soap (potassium soap), hard soap (sodium soap), aluminium monostearate, calcium stearate, triethanolamine oleate, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium dodecyl sulphate, castor oil sulphate, sodium dioctyl sulphate succinate and so on.
4. Cationic surfactants: Jell-O, New Jell-O, Benzoyl Chloride, Benzyl Chloride, Brominated Cetyl Trimethyl, etc.
5. Amphoteric surfactant: less; also a disinfectant and antiseptic.
As a matter of fact, spunbond hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics are very common in life. With the development of science and technology, its application will be more and more extensive. In addition, its material is environmentally friendly and inexpensive, which will be the future trend of daily necessities industry.
