Topsheet
Spunbond non-woven
Spunbond non-woven is the dominant material for sanitary napkin topsheet. SSS non-woven is popular in the disposable hygiene products.
Hot air-through non-woven
Which is used for the topsheet of high-end sanitary napkins. More soft than spunbond non-woven.
Cotton
It’s a good choice for A grade sanitary pads. The price is a little high.
Perforated PE film
Its best feature is that it's breathable, which makes it great for sanitary napkin that are mainly breathable. It was popular in the past decades.
Absorbent Core
Fluff pulp
Used to be the main absorbent material for sanitary napkins, common brands include IP, Domtar, etc..
Super absorbent polymer (SAP）
A new absorbent material with better absorption than fluff pulp.
SAP paper
It is made of upper and lower layers of tissue paper wrapped SAP. SAP paper has become popular in recent years.
Backsheet (PE film)
It is used to prevent liquid leakage. It is mainly processed with special polyethylene (PE) film as the substrate. It can be waterproof and breathable. There are also some high-end products that use a PE film plus non-woven fabrics composed of composite materials as the topsheet.
Acquisitive distribution layer (ADL)
ADL allows liquid to move quickly from the surface layer to the inner layer, creating an efficient absorption process. White, blue, green color are optional.
Release Paper
By covering the adhesive until the product is ready for use, release paper helps maintain the hygiene of the product, ensuring that it remains clean and safe for the user.
Easy tape
To summarize the tape of discarded tampons more clearly and to be more environmentally friendly.
