The operating principle of the diaper breathable bottom film is simple: inorganic + stretching = micropores. In fact, the operation is very particular, only the right size, evenly distributed micropores are effective.
When the concentration of water vapor on one side of the film is greater than the environment on the other side of the film, a humidity gradient pressure difference is formed. This provides the basic conditions for gas (vapor) convection, and due to the formation of convection, the humidity environment on both sides of the film tends to be relatively balanced. This is the basic principle of the operation of the breathable bottom film.
Secondly, in addition to being breathable, the breathable bottom film is also used as a water barrier film, which has a barrier effect on liquids. Because of the many pathways present in the film, the tortuous channel it forms has a large "aspect ratio" (L/D) value, which can be understood as capillaries. Therefore, in the same liquid (such as water) and the same pressure, as long as the height of the liquid column of the capillary tube is less than the length of the capillary, it can be ensured that the liquid will not leak out, otherwise it will leak
We often say that the breathable bottom film of diapers is the outermost layer with a pattern. Breathable

This article delves into the crucial role of the Acquisition Distribution Layer (ADL) in disposable hygiene products. Positioned between the topsheet and the absorbent core, ADL swiftly absorbs and disperses liquids to maintain a dry and comfortable surface. It covers common materials (e.g., nonwoven fabrics, synthetic fibers), multi-layer structure designs, functional principles (including rapid diversion and liquid distribution), and performance evaluation methods (such as absorption rate, diversion volume, and reverse permeability). The piece also highlights environmental considerations, like biodegradable materials and recycling solutions. Additionally, it discusses ADL applications in specific products like diapers and sanitary napkins and looks ahead to future technological advancements, asserting that ongoing improvements in ADL technology will enhance the disposable hygiene products industry, better meeting consumer demands for hygiene, health, and environmental protection.
The main raw materials used in sanitary pads include a top layer (non-woven fabric or perforated film for skin contact and quick liquid absorption), an absorbent core (fluff pulp and superabsorbent polymer (SAP) to retain menstrual fluid), a back layer (PE or breathable film to prevent leakage), an adhesive (to secure the pad to underwear), and release paper (to protect the adhesive). Some products may also contain fragrances, antibacterial agents, or use organic cotton and other natural materials to meet different needs.
